Three Sessions in OneThis is a polka/waltz CD that compiles three sessions done by the band. We recorded two 45 RPM’s in December of 1977, a long play in 1980, and still another long play in 1984. All three sessions are re-released on this CD. |

Polkas for the Young at HeartThis CD is our newest release. It consists mostly of polka/waltz material with the exception of one big band chart "I'm Beginning to See the Light" thrown in at the end (thoroughly satisfy your vocal palate with your choice of either Marcy or Bob singing). In addition, "That's the Kuchenbecker Band" is an original chart written for Gary by Lovell Ives. It should be noted that this CD is especially near to our hearts because, like the mighty Phoenix, it arose out of the ashes after the first recording studio burned down and no backup existed of the master. It was only the tenacity of the Old Lagers (and insurance money!) that allowed the second recording to happen. The cover features Gary's first [known] grandson, Jacob, doing what he does best...look cute. I don't think it's too early to get him started on a drumset or tuba! |

Music in the Grand Old TraditionThe phrase “Music in the Grand Old Tradition” was given to us by the manager of the Eagle Waters Resort in Eagle River , Wisconsin , around 1990. He liked the band, and came up with that phrase to promote the band when we played there. Gary has since dropped he “old” and uses “Music in the Grand Tradition” as the band’s mantra. (Gary had to look mantra up in a dictionary more than once in his life, so you may too!!!). In fact, the phrase became the title for this polka/waltz CD. Lawrence Duchow’s music has probably been the greatest musical factor in Gary ’s life, and various selections on this CD feature three Duchow alumni—Bob Lorenz and Dick Metko team up on some twin accordion work, and Lovell “Ooody” Ives plays some lead trumpet. |

On a Musical TrekSon James, one of the many prodigal sons on planet Earth, came up with the cover design and title for this big band album. He outdid himself not only as the band’s percussionist, but Jim has also put together this website for his computer illiterate father. Whether you like a novelty song, a ballad, a swing tune, or a standard dance beat selection, a sampling of each can be found on this CD. |
